PRE & POST-CARE.
In order for your new brows to heal properly (and look their best) these Pre & Post Care Instructions found below are of the UTMOST IMPORTANCE! Pre-Care instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessive bleeding during the procedure will dilute the pigment color and lead towards poor results. ADHERENCE TO AFTERCARE WILL DRAMATICALLY AFFECT YOUR RESULTS.
Microblading Pre-Care.
- No caffeine the day of procedure (can add to sensitivity).
- No alcohol 48 hours before procedure, as alcohol will increase bleeding.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning two weeks prior to procedure.
- Do not take Aspirin, Vitamin E, Advil/Ibuprofen 48 hours before procedure.
- Avoid Fish Oil, Prenatal Vitamins, “Hair, Skin, Nail” supplements 48 hours prior to procedure.
- Stop all skin related medications such as Retinol, Tretinoin (Retin A), Hydroquinone, etc, seven days prior. (and avoid on eyebrow area after procedure to prevent premature fading).
- Avoid chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrassion, alpha hydroxy acids, and any other cosmetic treatments on the face or brows, at least two weeks prior (avoid on eyebrow are after procedure to prevent premature fading)
- Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided 2 weeks prior to procedure.
- No brow waxing, tinting, or threading one week prior (the more natural hair growth you have, the better).
Day Of Treatment: You may fill in brows the day of treatment, this will allow me to get an idea of your style. I then will outline desired shape, numb for 20 mins, once the numbing is done, then the magic begins. Final results will be beautiful long lasting brows.
Microblading Post-Care.
- Day of treatment only: Lightly dab brows with 2×2 gauze to keep the brow area clean and dry every 2-3 hours, until bed time.
- Bed time: Lightly dab your brows with distilled water wipes.
- Make sure eyebrows are completely dry before applying the BROW BALM.
- Once fully dry, apply a thin layer of BROW BALM. Best to apply with a clean Q-tip.
- Repeat above steps AM and PM per day, for the next 7-10 days, or until brows are fully healed.
- DO NOT rub, pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring and pigment loss!
- Avoid direct sun exposure and tanning beds for a minimum of 4 weeks after your procedure, direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is in the healing process.
- Avoid pools, saunas, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths for 10 days.
- Avoid exercise or any kind of sweating for at least 10 days post treatment. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment, producing poor results.
- Avoid sleeping on your face/brows for the first 10 days.
- After 10 days, once the area has healed completely, consider using SPF when going out in the sun to stop the color from fading.
- Eyebrow tinting or other brow treatments should not be undertaken for at least 3 weeks after your procedure.
- Avoid Tretinoin (Retin-A), Chemical Peels, Laser Treatments, Microdermabrassion, and/or anything to treat hyperpigmentation on or around the brow area, to prevent fading of your brow tattoo.
Please note: Eyebrows will appear darker, bolder, and sharper due to natural scabbing and healing for the first 7-10 days. This is very common for all Cosmetic tattoo procedures.
